St George's Church Kencot

Kencot Church

St Georges is a small medieval church of Norman origins. We usually have two services a month with an average attendance of 11. Quite and impressive turnout given our population, and you can always be assured of a warm and friendly welcome. The main festivals are well attended. The church is kept open during the day for visitors to enjoy and is decorated with fresh flowers.

Our Village
Kencot has a population of about 100, and is situated at the heart of the Shill Valley and Broadshire Benifice. The village is made up of a mix of young families, people who commute to work, retired people and some weekenders. There are two working farms, livery stables and a polo field so there is quite a lot of four legged activity.
We have a well equipped village hall which can be hired out for private functions It is used regularly by local organisations and for the parochial meetings.
